Behaviour & Training Services Currently Unavailable

From December 2021, Beau Behaviour will be taking a ‘maternity break’ until Summer 2022. During this time, I will have limited access to email and phone enquiries. I look forward to working with families & their dogs and cats again soon. Thank you – Heli.

About Me

Heli Thorp RVN Dip CABT

Having grown up around animals of all shapes and sizes, I always knew it would be a career interest I wanted to pursue. I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2009 and have since focused further studies in the field of companion animal behaviour & human counselling. I now have over 15 years’ experience working with a range of animals and their families.

Founded in 2011 as ‘Pet Perfection’, I rebranded in 2021 as Beau Behaviour & Training – inspired by my bond with my beloved Boston Terrier, Beau (and to celebrate her 10th birthday!). My training and behaviour journey started with Beau by my side, so it felt fitting to name the business after her too.

Whilst I continue to invest in my veterinary nursing qualification through seeing practice and continued professional development, my passion lies in supporting my clients and their families to develop and enhance their relationships with their pets.

I am a qualified and insured member of CAPBT – COAPE Association of Pet Behaviourists and Trainers. I have an Advanced Diploma in Companion Animal Behaviour & Training – passed with Distinction (COAPE). I am completing an MSc in Clinical Animal Behaviour with the University of Edinburgh and building practical experience for ASAB accreditation as a ‘certified clinical animal behaviourist’.

At home, I live with two Boston Terriers, a hand-reared cat, a rescue tortoise, two donkeys, sheep and a very understanding husband. The hazards of being an animal lover!
